ULTIMedia attended the internationally known KIOSKCOM exhibition in Las Vegas on April the 25th and 26th. The event was a big success for ULTIMedia as we had over 25 kiosks. ULTIMedia, as a Gold Sponsor, supplied Prestige 007 kiosks used for registration and Prestige 007W kiosks used for show locaters. KIOSKCOM served as announcement of ULTIMedia-USA, a fully owned subsidiary of ULTIMedia. We had many visitors come to our booth and welcome us. We served champagne to our many guests in celebration.

While having attended KIOSKCOM many times and have sold kiosks in USA since 1998, this was the first conference where ULTIMedia had such a prominent presence. I was pleased to see that the USA customers appreciate the kiosk designs and quality. We had the FUNBOX, which is a jukebox kiosk containing nearly 1 million song titles, Internet access and games. The FUNBOX provided attendees with payment strategies that include payment by cell phone, special access code and traditional coin acceptor. Attendees paid special attention to the VIPER and COBRA kiosks and really spent time looking at the special stainless steel MEDIANE kiosk prototype developed for Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser has plans to deploy over 1,500 kiosks in the western United States. ULTIMedia also unveiled the 3S photo kiosk developed for SONY. For digital signage, KIOSKCOM attendees had the opportunity to see our NAOS kiosk, which can accommodate screen sizes from 40 to 80-inches. From an application perspective, ULTIMedia provided attendees with its loyalty and assisted sales applications developed for clients such as CARREFOUR, LANCOME, L’OREAL and THOMSON. One very new concept we presented was an interactive concept using “RFID” as a touch screen. This new technology transforms any material or surface into a touch screen. For KIOSKCOM, we used our COSMOS all glass system and showed how it could transform a store glass window into an interactive shopping experience.

My summation is ULTIMedia proved to be an obvious leader having the most diverse kiosk products and use of application at the show. As we prepare for the next KIOSKCOM exhibition held in New York on October 24th and 25th, ULTIMedia has many new plans for the show and are working with JD Events for better ways to promote the use of kiosks by attendees. ULTIMedia plans to debut its work currently being developed for the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Earlier this month, ULTIMedia-USA was awarded a $300,000 project to develop an outdoor kiosk network for an Intermodal Transportation Center in Minneola. To also note our presence in the Kiosk Europe exhibition in Essen (Germany). ULTIMedia did not fail to surprise by displaying its world renown kiosk designs and solid applications. Many visitors complimented us on the exceptional quality and range of standard self service terminals. I noted an interest with competitors as they walked around our booth looking quite envious. The booth layout, which was presented, was the same one from Las Vegas and one of the largest of the show. I was also solicited to present at a session “the history of interactive terminals and their use”, specifically noting the growing interest of decision makers who are becoming more and more aware of interactive technology.

There seems to be growing awareness in the market place as more and more companies use interactive kiosks either as customer loyalty systems, self-service, marketing, employee awareness, etc... As we look to the future, ULTIMedia will remain on the forefront of technology and we have developed a high growth strategy for 2007 where we plan to play a major role internationally. As the self-service market grows and point of sale and point of information markets converge, ULTIMedia is positioned well to receive many benefits.

The FUNBOX Digital Jukebox
The all new FUNBOX is the jukebox for the next generation. The FUNBOX provides digital music streaming through the Internet. The system has a database of over 900,000 song titles giving users the ability to search, select and play their favorite music. The FUNBOX stores a portion of its music database on the systems computer and downloads new favorites in real-time from the Internet. Each night the system updates its music selecting “top hits” and favorites. Because the system is connected to the Internet, the FUNBOX includes casino-type games and users can customize the graphics on the screen. The FUNBOX also includes an advertising element connecting a large screen for digital signage and advertising.

Payment at the FUNBOX can be made by cash, credit card or paying by your mobile phone. There is also a code system that owner operators can use.

The Kiosk COBRA
The unveiling of the COBRA kiosk at KIOSKCOM Las Vegas was a huge success. The COBRA’s shape has never been accomplished by any other self service kiosk manufacturer.

It is clear that ULTIMedia, once again, demonstrates its ability to have limitless boundaries in industrial design. The COBRA is very user-friendly and quit useful for handicapped individuals. The COBRA’s name is conceived from its unique shape, looking similar to a snake; a snake without the bite that is.

The Kiosk VIPER
To complete our product catalog of unlimited boundaries, the most diverse of any kiosk manufacturer worldwide, ULTIMedia created the VIPER model. The VIPER is a completely unique and innovative design that received great attention at KIOSKCOM Las Vegas!

The VIPER is intended for most any type of application in places where one seeks to have a sleek unique appearance. The VIPER works well as a basic information system, way finding, or where the form of the kiosk must fit within a unique architecture. The kiosk height of 61-inches, a width of 21.5-inches and a weight of about 80 pounds makes the kiosk very easy to place in any location. The ergonomic style and shape of the VIPER distinguishes it from all others. Manufactured from 16-gauge metal, many visitors at KIOSKCOM were surprised that ULTIMedia could achieve this unique shape. One visitor at KIOSKCOM called the VIPER design “the sexiest kiosk I’ve ever seen!” We agree.

Kaiser Permanente to Improve Customer Care with Patient Check-in kiosks
KAISER Permanente, with over 1,500 hospitals and medical facilities in the USA, selected ULTIMedia to provide its kiosks. Kaiser chose the MEDIANE kiosk and will be used for easy patient check-in at their Medical Office Buildings and hospitals. ULTIMedia manufactured four kiosks for the initial pilot. The Kaiser MEDIANE kiosk was manufactured in stainless steel and includes a credit card reader, signature pad and full size thermal printer. The paper is easily replaced by front access so there is no need to move the kiosk. ULTIMedia completed the manufacturing within 7 weeks from engineering and to deployment on site in California. KAISER will accept co-payments at the kiosk and automatically provide a receipt and directional information for their member’s appointment. Depending on the pilot’s success, Kaiser may deploy up to 1,500 terminals. ULTIMedia displayed a sample of the KAISER MEDIANE kiosk at the Las Vegas KIOSKCOM exhibition and Kiosk Europe in Essen, Germany.

CCI Franco-Britannique selects ULTIMedia
In a recent interview of Catherine Leyaouanc General Director of the CCI Franco-British, Ms. Leyaouanc, comments on why CCI Franco-British chose ULTIMedia to provide their kiosk solution.

UM: “Why was the model JET selected?”
CCI: “We chose ULTIMedia because of their excellent quality to price ratio in the market. The complete kiosk terminal, with an armoured anti-vandal touch screen for only 1500€ HT (around $1,400) makes it possible to display our questionnaire and allow our members to tell us what they like about the Chamber of Commerce.”

UM: “What type of information do you display on the kiosk?”
CCI: “For now, we display a video on one of our major events ‘British Week in Paris 2006’ but this terminal is also an ideal way to present future plans for British Week 2007 in Paris.”

UM: “Can you give us other examples of how you plan to use the kiosks?”
CCI: “We will bring the kiosks with us to conferences and exhibits we attend so we can show potential members the many benefits of joining the Chamber. From our work with you, we believe ULTIMedia will be soon one of our most active members”

ULTIMedia USA was officially established in March 2007 and has its corporate headquarters in Rockefeller Plaza, New York. The decision to locate in New York was a strategic one. Eric Dumouchel, founder of ULTIMedia states, “With ULTIMedia offices in France, London, and Dubai, New York served as a centralized location for these four offices to collaborate together for ULTIMedia international projects and overall global strategies for ULITMedia. New York is the most logical choice for our global vision.” ULTIMedia-USA has additional plans to operate its US integration and completion center in Los Angeles. Visit www.ultimedia-usa.com

ULTIMedia is please to announce the opening of ULTIMedia Middle East. The office is located in Dubai.

Expansion of ULTIMedia - EUROPE
ULTIMedia receives its building permit to expand its European operations. The opportunity to expand was provided when an adjacent vacant parcel became available. ULTIMedia’s growth required the company to look at new facilities that were more suitable to its expansion plans. The company had plans to expand and had though this land was unavailable and considered moving to a larger facility. Late last year, the lot came available and without haste, ULTIMedia jumped at the opportunity to obtain the rights to build on the parcel. ULTIMedia’s CEO, Eric Dumouchel will leverage his architectural education and design the new offices. The project is in its final approval phase. For now, let us say that the addition of 2500 m² (8,000 square feet) will be an architectural sanctuary for self service kiosks. We will disclose the design very soon!

Microsoft Certification Received
ULTIMedia receives Microsoft XP embedded certification. In our search of perfection, we took a step to become experts and certified Microsoft partners. This certification is a key point in our quality process as more and more clients look to develop self serve applications using XP embeded. This is just another step that demonstrates why ULTIMedia maintains is leading edge as the number one kiosk supplier in Europe and a leader Internationally.
