ULTIMedia attended the internationally known KIOSKCOM exhibition
in Las Vegas on April the 25th and 26th. The event was a big success
for ULTIMedia as we had over 25 kiosks. ULTIMedia, as a Gold Sponsor,
supplied Prestige 007 kiosks used for registration and Prestige
007W kiosks used for show locaters. KIOSKCOM served as announcement
of ULTIMedia-USA, a fully owned subsidiary of ULTIMedia. We had
many visitors come to our booth and welcome us. We served champagne
to our many guests in celebration.
While having attended KIOSKCOM many times and have sold kiosks in
USA since 1998, this was the first conference where ULTIMedia had
such a prominent presence. I was pleased to see that the USA customers
appreciate the kiosk designs and quality. We had the FUNBOX, which
is a jukebox kiosk containing nearly 1 million song titles, Internet
access and games. The FUNBOX provided attendees with payment strategies
that include payment by cell phone, special access code and traditional
coin acceptor. Attendees paid special attention to the VIPER and
COBRA kiosks and really spent time looking at the special stainless
steel MEDIANE kiosk prototype developed for Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser
has plans to deploy over 1,500 kiosks in the western United States.
ULTIMedia also unveiled the 3S photo kiosk developed for SONY. For
digital signage, KIOSKCOM attendees had the opportunity to see our
NAOS kiosk, which can accommodate screen sizes from 40 to 80-inches.
From an application perspective, ULTIMedia provided attendees with
its loyalty and assisted sales applications developed for clients
such as CARREFOUR, LANCOME, L’OREAL and THOMSON. One very
new concept we presented was an interactive concept using “RFID”
as a touch screen. This new technology transforms any material or
surface into a touch screen. For KIOSKCOM, we used our COSMOS all
glass system and showed how it could transform a store glass window
into an interactive shopping experience.
My summation is ULTIMedia proved to be an obvious leader having
the most diverse kiosk products and use of application at the show.
As we prepare for the next KIOSKCOM exhibition held in New York
on October 24th and 25th, ULTIMedia has many new plans for the show
and are working with JD Events for better ways to promote the use
of kiosks by attendees. ULTIMedia plans to debut its work currently
being developed for the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Earlier this month, ULTIMedia-USA was awarded a $300,000 project
to develop an outdoor kiosk network for an Intermodal Transportation
Center in Minneola. To also note our presence in the Kiosk Europe
exhibition in Essen (Germany). ULTIMedia did not fail to surprise
by displaying its world renown kiosk designs and solid applications.
Many visitors complimented us on the exceptional quality and range
of standard self service terminals. I noted an interest with competitors
as they walked around our booth looking quite envious. The booth
layout, which was presented, was the same one from Las Vegas and
one of the largest of the show. I was also solicited to present
at a session “the history of interactive terminals and their
use”, specifically noting the growing interest of decision
makers who are becoming more and more aware of interactive technology.
There seems to be growing awareness in the market place as more
and more companies use interactive kiosks either as customer loyalty
systems, self-service, marketing, employee awareness, etc... As
we look to the future, ULTIMedia will remain on the forefront of
technology and we have developed a high growth strategy for 2007
where we plan to play a major role internationally. As the self-service
market grows and point of sale and point of information markets
converge, ULTIMedia is positioned well to receive many benefits.
Good reading and take care

| NOVAE –
new software release |
We presented an updated release with
many new functionalities of our software NOVAE. This new version
of NOVAE is easy to manage information used as a way finding directory,
location finding or product locator. This could be information for
any pedestrian, car, truck, etc. NOVAE was created as a solution
for any reception, welcome center, mall directory or other application
where assistance for directional information is needed. NOVAE provides
specific added value to service customers in malls or retail areas.
In a retail setting, the customer can locate easily any item and
the location of that item. Upon a product search, the directions
to find the item are immediately presented to the user after their
search. The system also provides a location for advertising either
in the attract loop or in the application. Government agencies find
NOVAE useful to find point of interest locations such as city hall,
police locations, hotels, restaurants, monuments, etc. NOVAE has
been developed and provides information in 8 languages.
The application use for NOVAE are endless and can be used by cities,
supermarkets, shopping centres, airports, hospital, museums, building
directories, cemeteries, etc. NOVAE will be used as an exhibitor
locator for KIOSKCOM New York in October 24th and 25th

| CCI Franco-Britannique
selects ULTIMedia |
In a recent interview of Catherine Leyaouanc
General Director of the CCI Franco-British, Ms. Leyaouanc, comments
on why CCI Franco-British chose ULTIMedia to provide their kiosk
solution.
UM: “Why was the model JET selected?”
CCI: “We chose ULTIMedia because of their excellent quality
to price ratio in the market. The complete kiosk terminal, with
an armoured anti-vandal touch screen for only 1500€ HT (around
$1,400) makes it possible to display our questionnaire and allow
our members to tell us what they like about the Chamber of Commerce.”
UM: “What type of information do
you display on the kiosk?”
CCI: “For now, we display a video on one of our major events
‘British Week in Paris 2006’ but this terminal is also
an ideal way to present future plans for British Week 2007 in Paris.”
UM: “Can
you give us other examples of how you plan to use the kiosks?”
CCI: “We will bring the kiosks with us to conferences and
exhibits we attend so we can show potential members the many benefits
of joining the Chamber. From our work with you, we believe ULTIMedia
will be soon one of our most active members”
